Good Lovelies
Origin: Ontario, Canada
Genres: Folk/Country, Jazz
Best friends and "refugees from solo careers," the Good Lovelies is composed of Caroline Brooks, Kerri Ough and Sue Passmore. The alt-country trio collaborated on each other's musical projects and live performances before becoming an official group in December, 2006, at a show at Toronto's Gladstone Hotel. Their down-to-earth, organic sound is matched by an effervescent stage presence, a unique combination that has been described as "flirty bluegrass." After singing back-up on Canadian vocalist Jill Barber's album, Chances, the Good Lovelies released a self-titled debut of original songs in 2009.
