The guitarist's acclaimed album, Creation Dream - The Songs of Bruce Cockburn, reimagines the famed singer/songwriter's folk-rock classics into instrumental jazz gems, prompting Cockburn to nominate the collection as his favourite interpretation of his music. In 2008, Occhipinti released another ambitious album: The Sicilian Jazz Project, integrating field recordings of peasant musicians from southern Italy in the 1950s.
