Philip Sayce
Origin: Ontario, Canada
Main instrument:
Acoustic guitar/electric guitar
Genres: Blues, Rock
Guitarist and singer-songwriter Philip Sayce's storied beginnings are something out of a dream (or a movie script): Having just graduated from high school, the Canadian was personally invited by Jeff Healey to join his band. Sayce performed with the likes of The Allman Brothers and B.B. King while touring the international jazz circuit. In 2004, he began playing guitar for Melissa Etheridge, most notably accompanying her at the 2005 Grammy Awards. Emerging from the shadows of his celebrity collaborators, Sayce independently released Peace Machine that same year. In 2009, he was set to embark on his first solo European tour.
