Origin: Puerto Rico / United States

Genres: Jazz, Latin

Abraham Gomez-Delgado, leader of the group, Zemog El Gallo Bueno, was born in Puerto Rico of Peruvian descent, leaving for the U.S. when he was just a child. His musical influences run the gamut from Sun Ra and Metallica, to Tom Waits and Van Halen. This singer-composer gives fans a whole new take on salsa, rock and Latin American rhythms, while band members deftly handle guitar, clarinet, saxophone and percussion. Zemog El Gallo Bueno shakes things up by injecting Latin music with a good dose of post-modernity.
