Valérie Duchâteau

Origin: France

Main instrument: Acoustic guitar/electric guitar

Genres: Classical Music, Folk/Country, Jazz

Valérie Duchâteau was only 11 years old when guitarist Alexandre Lagoya took her under his wing. Originally from the south of France, she ended up at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris. In addition to classical music, she has also explored country, sharing the stage with the legendary Chet Atkins. When recording her first album in Nashville, Tom Bresh steered her in the right direction. She then returned to France and the classical guitar, appearing onstage with the Opéra de Paris, arranging and interpreting 12 songs by French singer Barbara, and releasing two records for Guitarist Magazine-commissioned music series Les chefs-d'oeuvre de la guitare classique.
