Born into a musical dynasty (her parents are bossa nova stars Walter Santos and Tereza Souza, and her godfather is Hermeto Pascoal), Luciana Souza launched her career with a radio jingle at the age of three. Since then, the Grammy winner and New York Times Critics' Choice pick has combined a solid background in jazz with an intuitive flair for the swaying rhythms of her native Brazil. Further expanding her repertoire, Souza has performed new music and classical works with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic. Her complete discography includes more than 50 records.
