Québec singer-songwriter, Lynda Thalie, explores music from the Maghreb, reflecting her Algerian roots, marrying sounds from the East and West. In 2006, she charmed audiences in Québec on her De neige ou de sable tour. The following year, she toured internationally, joining French-Algerian star Rachid Taha onstage for the Festival's closing event in front of a delirious crowd. Other memorable collaborations throughout her career include working with Michel Rivard and Yann Perreau. In 2008, she released her third album, La rose des sables.
