Based in France, this multi-instrumentalist played alongside the likes of Cheb Mami and Joe Zawinul. He also masterminded the Ifrikya project, which saw him pen original material as well as revisit traditional music from his native Algeria. Ziad also teamed up with pianist Bojan Z and saxophonist/clarinetist Julien Lourau. Under the moniker BoZiLo, the trio has developed a potent musical proposition informed by North-African and Eastern-European sounds.
