Born in L'Épiphanie, Quebec, Antoine Dufour had a revelation of his own when he picked up his first guitar at age 15. Through his love of and dexterity with the instrument, Dufour has mastered fingerstyle acoustic guitar, blending his classical training with the steel string. At the 2005 Canadian Guitar Festival, he picked up 2nd prize in the Fingerstyle Guitar Competition and won first place the following year. The Montreal-based guitarist has three solo albums on the CANdyRAT Records label, all of which feature his innovative and nuanced compositions.
