Pianist, accordionist and organist Gary Versace left his teaching position at the University of Oregon and moved to New York in 2002. He's since played with John Scofield, Lee Konitz, and Seamus Blake-some of the biggest names on the New York scene. Recognized for his innovative style, Versace has been a featured soloist on several recordings, including the Grammy-winning Maria Schneider albums Concert in the Garden and Sky Blue. In 2008, Versace worked alongside singer Theo Bleckmann and drummer John Hollenbeck on the CD Refuge Trio. He also launched the CD Outside In.
