Toronto-based singer Divine Brown began her career doing musicals. With her self-titled debut album in 2005, however, Brown marked a move toward R&B. Three years later, she put out a second album, The Love Chronicles, a blend of musical currents such as 50s-style R&B, 70s soul and 80s-style electro-pop. Over the course of her young career, Divine Brown has collaborated with Nelly Furtado and Youssou N'Dour, as well as opened for the Backstreet Boys.
