Country music can swing-perhaps more than you think-and California's Cow Bop is definitely the group to prove it. You could call it country, but these three musicians and singer Pinto Pammy, led by virtuoso guitarist Bruce Forman, add just the right amount of jazz and groove to the mix-and they're not afraid of improvising when the time is right. Some call it ‘western swing', others call it ‘country jazz', or ‘western bop'. Since forming in 2003, they have recorded a pair of albums, Swingin' Out West, in 2004 and Route 66 in 2008.
