Born in New York in 1954, Bob Brozman has been a profound music lover and guitarist since the age of 6. He has studied music and ethnomusicology at Washington University in St. Louis and is widely considered an authority on Hawaiian music, vintage blues, ragtime and world music. His masterful technique of the slide and percussive guitars is unsurpassed, along with his natural ability to blend in various world influences in his infectious harmonies. The 1980s and 1990s saw him collaborate with various world artists, and releasing several albums that showcased his eclectic tastes. After several visits to New Guinea, he released the CD and DVD set Songs of the Volcano in 2005, in which he also appears playing alongside local string bands. Post-Industrial Blues came out in 2007.
