Corky Siegel

1943 -

Origin: United States

Main instrument: Piano

Genres: Blues, Classical Music

One of the most innovative blues musicians of our time, composer, pianist, singer and songwriter Corky Siegel has earned praise and respect the world over for his groundbreaking music and various projects combining blues with classical music. His career began in the 1960s, with legendary blues band Siegel-Schwall, featuring guitarist Jim Schwall, sharing the stage with such blues luminaries as Howlin' Wolf and Muddy Waters. A true master, he has broken new boundaries as a blues soloist by performing with some of the world's most prestigious classical orchestras. Now, with Chamber Blues, a project merging blues with chamber music, he has once again pioneered a new sound and musical style. In 2005, Chamber Blues released Corky Siegel's Traveling Chamber Blues Show! to great acclaim.
