The JazzLab collective brings together some of the top recording artists of the Montréal-based Effendi label. Since its first concert, in 2002, the combo has dabbled in the various styles at the forefront of modern jazz today. Their efforts have so far spawned albums Réunion (2004), Ballades (2006) and Chance Meeting (2007). The Lab's 2009 all-star incarnation is comprised of Rémi Bolduc (alto saxophone), Frank Lozano (tenor and soprano saxophones), Alexandre Côté (baritone saxophone), Aron Doyle (trumpet, flugelhorn), Richard Gagnon (trombone), John Roney (piano), Isaiah Ceccarelli (drums) and Alain Bédard (double bass).
