Hailing from St. Andrews, New Brunswick, multi-instrumentalist Ryan Leblanc released his first album, Down Deep, in 2005, followed by the acclaimed Against the Grain in 2007, for which he won an East Coast Music Award (ECMA) for "World Recording of the Year", in 2008. The one man orchestra's unique playing - strumming sometimes an acoustic guitar, sometimes a banjo, usually simultaneously with his harmonica and djembe - and original compositions brought him worldwide recognition, and invitations to perform in Yukon, England, Germany and France.
