Born in Mexico and based in New York since 1999, Antonio Sanchez is probably one of the most ‘in demand' jazz drummers on the circuit. He is the drummer in Pat Metheny's trio and has played with other heavyweights such as Chick Corea, Michael Brecker, Charlie Haden, Gary Burton-even Toots Thielemans has requested his services. Sanchez recorded his first solo album, Migration, in 2007 featuring an amazing lineup of musicians he has played with over the years. New Life came out in 2013.
