Formed in 2004, Toronto-based Holy Fuck was initially formed by keyboardists Graham Walsh and Brian Borcherdt. With a quickly changing personnel, the band's 2010 line-up includes drummer Matt Shulz and Matt McQuaid on bass. The group's usually improvised, drummer-centric and lo-fi electronic sounds are analog-based, as opposed to using computers and samples, sometimes also using unconventional instruments, like toys. In 2005, the group self-released their eponymous debut, featuring Blue Rodeo drummer Glenn Mitchell, creating a stir for their chosen name. The band issued a second LP two years later, followed by extensive touring, leading up to the release of their long-awaited third album Latin, in 2010.
