Born in NYC's Bronx, Jason Kibler, a.k.a. DJ Logic, first started spinning records at various parties and local events in the 1980s. After a few years playing in various groups, including Eye & I in the 1990s, he took an interest in jazz, joining the trio MMW as turntablist, with musicians John Medeski, Billy Martin and Chris Wood. Rapidly becoming a hot commodity among both the DJ and jazz scenes in NYC, he toured extensively, promoting a unique style that combines jazz improv with rock, world or hip hop. In 1999, he released his first solo album, the acclaimed Project Logic, and Anomaly two years later. With his mentor, Living Colour guitarist Vernon Reid, he co-founded the side project Yohimbe Brothers, and in 2006 released his fifth solo effort, Zen of Logic.
