Bridging the artistic passion of Mexico City with the international outlook of Ottawa, People Project is all over the map creatively, but musically, it's right on target. Formed in 2006 by Mexican Gabriel Bronfman and Canadian Philippe Lafreniere, who both serve as guitarists, vocalists and percussionists, the multi-lingual, cross-cultural group released its self-titled debut that same year. The duo writes, arranges, produces and performs a diverse repertoire of world music, collaborating with artists from Brazil, Cuba, Trinidad and the U.S.A. They released their follow-up album, Natural, in 2009. Two years later, the Project took the road as a duo.
