Belgrade-born Bojan Z started tickling the ivories at age 5. While attending musical school, he honed his craft playing with local bands. At 21, he was elected Best Young Jazz Musician in Yugoslavia. After his military service, he went to Paris, where he played with the best musicians in town, from Michel Portal to Henri Texier. As well as fronting his own ensembles, Bojan Z joined forces with saxophonist/clarinetist Julian Lourau and percusionist/singer Karim Ziad to form the BoZiLo project.
