Susan Tedeschi was initiated into music at a very young age-she appeared in a Broadway Musical at age 5! It was the blues, gospel, soul and country music that captured her imagination, however. Tedeshi quickly drew attention with her strong stage presence, and within a few years she was opening for John Mellencamp, B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones. As a singer, Tedeshi possesses a powerful and poignant voice, but she is also an accomplished guitarist who cites Budy Guy, Freddie King and Stevie Ray Vaughan among her influences.
