Born in 1958 in Grenoble, France, world acclaimed accordionist and composer Daniel Mille's masterful playing has earned him countless awards and the sheer admiration of his peers. Learning his instrument at the age of 11, the young musician later played his accordion in the streets of Paris until legendary French music producer Pierre Barouh took notice and offered a record contract in 1993. The following year, Mille's first album, Sur les quais, shook the French music community. Mille fearlessly took his instrument to unchartered emotional depths, earning him the prestigious Django d'Or in 1995. He has since released several acclaimed recordings, including L'attente (2009), and collaborated with some of France's biggest names, including Barbara and Jean-Louis Trintignant.
