Legendary Philadelphia group The Roots have been recording, touring and influencing countless artists since their 1993 debut, Organix. Founded by Rapper Black Thought and drummer ?uestlove in the mid-1980s, the band's uniqueness lies in their preference for live instruments over samples. Catching their first big break in 1999 with the Grammy-award winning album Things Fall Apart, The Roots have continuously kept up their high standard of innovative excellence in the studio since. In March 2009, they became resident house band for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on NBC. In 2010, the group released How I Got Over, immediately followed by Wake Up!, a collaborative effort with John Legend. undun came out in 2011.
