Jimmy James

Origin: Québec, Canada

Main instrument: Acoustic guitar/electric guitar

Genre: Blues

Greek-born, Montreal-raised Demetrios Bakolias set his sights on the guitar at age 13, patiently teaching himself how to play the instrument. An avid blues fan, he is also influenced by jazz, rock, classical and funk. Under the artist name Jimmy James, the guitarist has led a successful career, supporting the likes of Jeff Healey, Stevie Ray Vaughan and David Bowie. James also developed a close working relationship with Nanette Workman and Michel Pagliaro. As a soloist, he has several albums to his credit, including Feels Good, released in 2005.
