Despite her young age, Montreal singer Nikki Yanofsky has carved out an impressive career since her debut at the Festival in 2006. She contributed vocals to the recording: We All Love Ella: Celebrating the First Lady of Song, alongside such prestigious company as Diana Krall and Natalie Cole, not to mention working with Herbie Hancock and appearing onstage with Oliver Jones and Wyclef Jean. In addition to building her musical career, she has devoted much of her time to several charities. In September 2008, shereleased the critically-acclaimed, live concert performance CD and DVD, Ella... of Thee I Swing, which earned her two Juno nominations as well her being awarded Favourite Jazz Artist at the 2009 Canadian Independent Music Awards. In 2010, the singer released her first studio effort, Nikki.
